How violent will Terminator: Genisys be? Or more to the point, how restricted is it going to be, now that it’s rated 12A in several European countries, meaning it’ll be PG-13 or even a soft PG-13 in the USA? We can get a better grasp of that by checking out new BBFC information. Take a look at the following. Meanwhile, a new featurette can be seen below as well.
TERMINATOR GENISYS is a science-fiction action adventure film in which a soldier is sent back in time from 2029 to 1984 to prevent the assassination of a woman who will one day give birth to a legendary guerrilla leader and freedom fighter.
THREAT
The moderate threat arises in sequences, some quite intense, during which human characters are relentlessly pursued by cyborgs intent on killing them.
VIOLENCE
There are scenes of cyborg against cyborg fighting, with cybernetic heads and arms being blasted or ripped off. Human characters are also shot and stabbed, but very little is seen in terms of blood or injury detail. In one scene small bloody bullet holes are visible in the torsos of several bodies lying on the floor in the background.
LANGUAGE
There is a single use of strong language (‘f**k’). There is also mild bad language, including uses of ‘ass’, ‘asshole’, screwed, ‘shit’ and ‘son of a bitch’.
