Ratner Says Beverly Hills Cop 4 Is Still A Go

Paramount removed Beverly Hills Cop 4 from their release schedule this year. The film chronicling the further adventures of Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) was set to hit theaters March 25, 2016, but The Wrap is reported that the project had been delayed indefinitely.  Many thought this spelled the end.

Not so however, says director Brett Ratner this week.  “Working on the script, working on the script,” Ratner said. “It’s a longer process. It’s not easy. A lot of pressure on that one.

Eddie Murphy’s most recent comments about the movie have basically been – I’m not making that movie with a shitty script.  That’s commendable, some aren’t that rigid…*cough* Terminator: Genisys/Arnold *cough*.  Incidentally, with rumours of a Rush Hour 4, Ratner also chimed in on possibly directing that…

“We’re always talking about it. We’ve just got to find the time between Chris Tucker, myself and Jackie.”
