5) Kurt Russell – Tango & Cash
No doubt one of the manliest hairstyles in movie history is the mullet. The hairstyle was, so they say, first adopted by ancient Roman Legionnaires. And we couldn’t have hippies running around with it. Then it made a comeback, when real men took hold of the style and liberated it from girlie man pissants like Paul McCartney. Which was needed.
Kurt Russell was one such man. He donned the do in Tango & Cash and man, was it a haircut you could set your watch to. It’s hard not to notice in the movie, in fact it’s almost fascinating. In fact, I don’t know if I could ever watch that movie again, had Kurt Russell’s mullet not been in it. He has worn this hairdo in many other movies too.
