True Detective Season 2 Shootout Featurette

Anyone who remembers the brilliance that was True Detective season one will remember that single track shot, the drugs den raid.  It almost became iconic.  The second season has attempted to do the same thing again with the latest episode, with that high profile daytime shootout.  It ran about six minutes and involved an intense action sequence when an undercover op went off the rails.

Now a new featurette has emerged about the filming of the sequence and how Navy SEALs were brought in to help train the actors for the brutal bloodbath of a scene which took five days to shoot and racks up an incredible bodycount. By the way, is anyone really digging this season of True Detective?  I think it’s missing more than a few beats.  Although to be fair, such things should be judged after the finale.
