Cooper ‘Committed’ To Limitless TV Series

A movie that is highly recommended is 2011’s ‘Limitless’ starring Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper.  The film was about a man who sends his IQ soaring to ten times normal ‘efficiency’ using a ground breaking underground drug.  Of course, one of the first things he does is figuring out how to bed his hot neighbour.  Priorities.

A CBS TV series will debut on September 22nd starring Jake McDorman, Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.  And apparently Bradley Cooper as well.

In fact, Cooper’s involvement with the series is one of the big reasons why it’s a sequel. “We knew Bradley Cooper was going to be involved,” said EP Craig Sweeny, who appeared with the cast at the TCA Press Tour. “And so it seemed like, if we wanted the option of having him on screen, we shouldn’t recast the role of Eddie Morra, and that informed the show to a certain extent. 

But I think we would have done it that way regardless because part of what’s appealing about this particular property is that the McGuffin of the NZT pills is infinite. So why not tell the story of somebody else’s interaction with this drug?”

“Bradley really has been so committed to the show and so he has every intention of coming back,” Sweeny revealed. “And so we’ve been talking quite a bit about how to bring him back and in what capacity. And a lot of what the pilot has set up for you is he will be this mysterious figure whose agenda is very, very unclear. You can’t tell if he’s good or if he’s bad. Certainly, there’s something going on there. And so the plan is that there may be people who speak for him, but Eddie will return.”
