McTiernan Attends AFI Event With Thomas Jane

Well it looks like John McTiernan has surfaced once again in a slight capacity.  The man appeared recently at an American Film Institute event.  Apparently there were celebrations of six classic movies created by John McTiernan.  Producer Brian Udovich was in attendance.  Material below can be credited to him.

Interestingly McTiernan can be seen chatting to actor Thomas Jane.  I wouldn’t put much into that but it is worth noting that both men are or at least were, recently, contracted to Hannibal Classics, a studio which I was told recently was hedging its bets on using McTiernan to break through to the big leagues by funding their largest movie ever and having him direct it (Red Squad).

That has obviously stalled.  In any event, Brian Udovich also put together a celebatory trailer for the event (it’s fucking amazing, don’t skip pressing play).
