Piper Will Play A Vigilante In His Last Movie

The late great Roddy Piper was not only an accomplished wrestler (the guy who often made the heroes heroic) but also an actor as well.  He will have one final movie to release.

Deadline reports that Freestyle Releasing has signed a deal to release the film which is a faith-based movie called . It will be released on January 8, 2016. The film is based on a true story about a retired pro wrestler who is a pastor by day and a masked vigilante at night. With problems at home and church adding up, he has to come to terms with his calling as a pastor and his secret identity. It’s inspired by the life of Pastor Chris Whaley, who released a book of the same name. Piper played “Nicky”. The film will be released n New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Washington DC and other select cities. It was originally set for an early 2015 release after shooting In Ontario in 2013.
