Alien 5 In 2017

Looks like we’ll have a few interesting manly movies in 2017.  Of course there’s the recent revelation that The Expendables 4 will hit in that year, I’m guessing in the usual August spot.  Now there’s the more surprising news, straight from Ridley Scott, about Alien 5 (or Alien 3B).

“We have Neill Blomkamp’s Alien, which will be out in 2017,” Scott tells the Daily Beast. “We just have the first [screenplay] draft in so far but it looks pretty good.”

So if Alien: Paradise Lost films first, does that mean we’re getting two Alien movies in one year?  Scott is producing Alien 5, directed by Neill Blomkamp.  Would Fox really push Alien 5 back to a winter slot?  Seems to me that such a  movie should be up there competing with the men in leotards in the summer.

Who knows, maybe it will!  Goddamn it’s going to be good to hear those motion trackers again, I guarantee that noise alone for a teaser trailer will make a cinema audience go nuts.  But what about Paradise Lost?
