Trailer: Man In The High Castle (2015)

One of the more interesting TV projects that emerged this year was the pilot adaptation for the novel ‘The Man in the High Castle’.  Or more accurately web-based as opposed to TV.  Below is the trailer.

I gave the pilot a favourable review and hoped that it would in fact be ordered to series.  Today the good news comes that the series has in fact gone into full production, via Amazon’s press release, they have cited overwhelmingly positive feedback making the process an easy decision.

Based on Philip K. Dick’s Hugo Award-winning 1962 alternative history, The Man in the High Castle considers the question of what would have happened if the Allied Powers had lost World War II. Almost 20 years after that loss, the United States and much of the world has now been split between Japan and Germany, the major hegemonic states. But the tension between these two powers is mounting, and this stress is playing out in the western U.S.

I’d encourage anyone interested in this sort of thing to check it out.  Another addition to television’s strengthening lineup against current theatrical endeavours.
