Ventura Gives New Predator Trivia

Everyone loves Predator.  So even the smallest Predator detail can be kind of fun news.  In the above new video (around the 49:18 mark) the former governor and Demolition Man star talks the line ‘I ain’t got time to bleed’.

‘That one I was playing myself, something I did 20 years earlier.  I didn’t fight an alien but I did special forces, I did six years in the SEALS.’  On his famous line; ‘Well if Arnold hadn’t gotten sick it would’ve never (have) happened.  Arnold got sick on the set, he couldn’t work that day and it was towards the end, they started cutting stuff so we went and did the scene and McTiernan burst out laughing at the end of it so I knew it would get in the film.  But originally it had been cut.  When they get towards the end of filming a lot of stuff gets cut.  Time is money’.

Does anyone recall what Arnold’s sickness was?  Was it severe dehydration?  Anyway I wish someone would ask Ventura for details about the infamous and perhaps fabled fight scene between he and Sylvester Stallone which was almost apparently filmed.  Maybe I should push for a Ventura interview and ask him, eh?
