‘The Eighth Film By Quentin Tarantino’ just can’t catch a break it appears. The Hateful Eight first had that little quarrel with Disney, then that little DVD screener leak. Now we can pretty much confirm that the film is a box office bomb.
It has taken $33 million back from a budget of around $45 million.
Worse, UK cinemagoers will have to go somewhere other than Cineworld for their latest Quentin Tarantino fix.
Twitter users got in touch with the chain to ask about the absence of The Hateful Eight in Cineworld’s schedule despite its release today (January 8), and the explanation – given to a number of different people – is that they won’t be showing it at all.
‘Sadly we haven’t been able to come to an agreement with the distributor which means it won’t be shown at Cineworld.’ Huh, isn’t Cineworld the biggest chain in the United Kingdom?
