Rapace Drops Out Of Alien: Covenant

It looks like a key figure will no longer be a part of the upcoming Alien prequel.

The Daily Mail  reports that actress Noomi Rapace will not be returning for the film which is either one of two or three films set to bridge the gap between ‘Prometheus’ and the original ‘Alien’.

Originally Rapace’s role was said to be short or even a cameo, but now apparently not at all.  The 36-year-old actress played scientist Elizabeth Shaw in 2012’s prequel – which also starred Idris Elba, Charlize Theron and Guy Pearce – and although her character was the only human being to survive the doomed intergalactic expedition, the film’s director Ridley Scott confirmed the absence.

Makes you wonder where they’re going with the story, Michael Fassbender’s head doesn’t give them many options.
