Who can say no to a little more Rated-R ’90s action, with no Marvel figurines in sight? The talk of Bad Boys 3 goes on and off every now and then. Now the latest word is that a new director may have been found. Collider reports that Joe Carnahan may helm the third movie in this series.
Let us also remember that Carnahan did not deny reports last year that he was also going to write the movie. Sony have also said there could be not only a third movie, but a fourth as well.
Carnahan’s last big work, if you remember, was The Grey, starring Liam Neeson. That was a great movie, a great manly movie to boot. I wonder what Carnahan can make of a third Bad Boys movie. Dare I say it, better him than Michael Bay.
I hope it’s slightly more serious this time around.
