Here is possibly the weirdest news of the week. Jean Claude Van Damme has a new TV show in the pipe. And Phylicia Rashad is the latest addition to this venture.
The series stars Van Damme as a heightened version of himself — an action movie actor who comes out of retirement to resume his alter ego, undercover private contractor Jean-Claude Johnson. Johnson’s cover as the lead role in a reimagined action film version of Huckleberry Finn lands him right back in the midst of the danger he secretly always craves — but most importantly, back in the orbit of Vanessa, his fellow operative and the woman he loves.
Kat Foster and Moises Arias have boarded the action comedy, titled Jean-Claude Van Johnson. But really, it sounds like it would have been more suited to Sensei Seagal.
