Sylvester Stallone may have recovered from The Expendables 3 ‘blip’ somewhat with his role in Creed. Snubbed for an Oscar, but it still raised his value again. He has signed on for a movie with STX Entertainment. Deadline says;
Film chief Adam Fogelson took the stage today at CinemaCon today and emphasized the company’s commitment to mid-budget films — the ones that get lost through the cracks as the majors devote more attention to tentpoles.
First celeb appearance was Sylvester Stallone who announced that he was doing a new movie at STX, but remained mum on details. “It’s a privilege to be part of something that’s going to provide entertainment and artistic value,” said the Rocky and Rambo multi-hyphenate.”
This is the same studio that will put out The Foreigner, starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Sounds like this might be a more ‘mature’ movie for Stallone, who is apparently scaling back on action movies.
