We’ve Surpassed 20,000 Comments

Something caught my eye on statistics for the site this weekend.  We passed 20,000 comments this week, 20,242 to be exact.  Had I known we were approaching that milestone, I would’ve ran and/or done something for the person who followed up to the 19,999th comment.  Unless it was some driveby punk here to shit on the site and not one of our regulars of course.

I’ll keep an eye on the approach to 30,000.

By the way, comments are not moderated here.  I’ve been asked a few times why certain comments don’t show up immediately.  Sometimes the CDN (content delivery network, a cache system) will not keep up to speed if comments are posted in quick succession.  Sometimes comments that are posting too manly links gets caught in the spam filter, e.g. if you’re posting many YouTube videos, it becomes suspicious to the CDN too.

Anyway, keep up the good work, gents.  They may have blacklisted our asses, but remember that pain don’t hurt.
