‘Final Score’, an action movie directed by Scott Mann (‘Heist’, and the underrated ‘The Tournament’) is due to direct the incredibly busy Dave Bautista, in what is being described as ‘Taken’ meets ‘Die Hard’.
Set during a major sporting event, Bautista is said to play Michael Knox, a former military special ops kinda guy (ala Seagal’s Casey Ryback in ‘Under Siege’). A group of heavily-armed criminals, with military backgrounds, storm the event, raining on Knox’s parade and leaving him no choice other than to save the 35,000 strong fans AND his daughter, who has been snatched by the badasses.
What’s also good to know is that ex-007, the on-the-up-and-up Pierce Brosnan, has also just joined the cast.
Brosnan, who has wrapped work for ‘Golden Eye’ and ‘Casino Royale’s Martin Campbell’s ‘The Foreigner’ with Jackie Chan, is doing a several days work on ‘Final Score’, making us believe he’s to be the Hans Gruber to Bautista’s McClane on the $8m-$10m USD picture lensing this week.
