Here’s A New Poster For Deepwater Horizon

Disaster movies are right up our alley, you only need consult the classics put out by the likes of Steve McQueen to know that.  Today we have a new poster from Peter Berg’s thriller/drama ‘Deepwater Horizon’, which was filmed in New Orleans for a release in cinemas on the 30th September 2016.  The artwork for this one has been pretty good, especially that stuff shown at CinemaCon.

Mark Wahlberg, John Malkovich, Dylan O’Brien, Gina Rodriguez and Kate Hudson star in the film which is based on the true events that occurred on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010 and chronicles the courage of those who worked on the rig during the disaster. Matthew Sand and Matthew Michael Carnahan penned the script.

Oh, and Kurt Russell also appears in the movie.  I’m more excited by the fact that it’s directed by Peter Berg however, his ‘Lone Survivor’ action scenes, and how steadily they were filmed and how clearly they were edited, was like a retro drug to me.  Very good!
