Benicio Del Toro In Talks For ‘The Predator’

After watching Sicario, and how cool Benicio Del Toro was in that movie, stealing the show (he’s getting his own spin off), the following news could turn out to be all kinds of awesome.  This is what Deadline has to say;

Benicio Del Toro is in early talks to star in Predator, the reboot of the franchise in the works at 20th Century Fox. Shane Black is aboard to direct. The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3 helmer was actually co-starred in the 1987 original alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, playing a member of Arnold’s team and the first to die at the hands of the Predator. Carl Weathers and Jesse Ventura also co-starred.

Could have been worse – assuming it actually works out – I think we all get flashbacks to the time news broke that Adrien Brody was ‘lobbying hard’ to get a role in Predators.  I was afraid of something like Colin Farrell being the lead.  Anyway, who remembers Hunted?  Review here, good movie.
