The Crap Coming From Marvel Is Truly Endless

I think we’re still at something like one major comic book movie every three months now, maybe more.  That’s not including the fact that this slurry has invaded television.  They’re truly outstaying their welcome with this stuff in terms of quality.

Speaking with Collider this week, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige says the company is already thinking ahead and have mostly figured out which films are coming in 2020 and beyond:

“We know what we’d like them to be for 2020. Over the years, where we’re aiming we’ve been lucky enough that it’s usually been the same thing but we always leave ourselves the opportunity to bob and weave and adapt if we have to. But we know where we’re headed for 2020 and we have ideas and were beginning to solidify the years beyond that.”

The sad thing is that these are what I would’ve called back in the 1990’s ‘no-name’ comic book movies, ‘Ant-Man’? Who?!

It’s going to take one of the big movies to fail, to break the back of this nonsense.  And of course, it will happen. Even the biggest idiot has to grow tired of CGI rubble being thrown at the screen in place of story, character and artistry.
