Joel and Ethan Coen are getting into TV for the first time in a big way with a new anthology event series set in the Old West. Annapurna Television is teaming with the Coens on the project which is titled The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Joel and Ethan Coen wrote the script from scratch and they’ll also direct the project which Annapurna intends to pursue with “an innovative approach that could combine television and theatrical”. There’s no story details beyond that the project will intertwine six different story lines.
The Coens will also produce alongside Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle. I look forward to this and will hopefully enjoy it in a way I did not enjoy The Hateful Eight, since the Coens are what Quentin Tarantino wishes he was but is not.
A man who does not understand how to flow meaningful dialogue or narrative. See my explanation of why The Hateful Eight sucked.
