Some sad news here gentlemen. I have to say I’m quite shocked to report that Bill Paxton has passed away at the age of 61.
Anyone who reads this site will be familiar with the talented star who has appeared in countless manly movies, including all of James Cameron’s best films. For me, Paxton will always be the wisecracking com-tech Private Hudson from Aliens, a role for which he should’ve got an Oscar, or some kind of award, in my opinion. More recently he was in the award-winning series Hatfields vs McCoys with Kevin Costner and starred alongside Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow. He was also a competent director, having made and starred in Frailty in 2001.
Bill’s family released this statement: “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. ”
