Last week, we got the following concerning upcoming manly movie The Predator. Appearing at the ‘An Experience With’ event in Manchester, Conor McGregor said the following;
“I’ll tell you there’s a lot of offers that I’ve turned down. I got offered The Predator movie. There’s a new Predator movie coming out and the guys came to me, did you see that horse thing I’ve done, the horse racing? That was like three days’ solid work for a hell of a lot of money, for three days.
During that three day course, the people from Predator who are having this new Predator movie, a blockbuster… They came in and tried to sell the whole shitt. ‘We want you to be the main guy and you’re gonna fight Predator’ and I’m like ‘This sounds brilliant! How much?’ Not enough.
We noted that something sounded off with this boastful statement. Sure enough, director Shane Black has debunked this one. Check out what he said on Twitter;
CONOR McGREGOR: great guy, nice as can be — NOT, however, offered the male lead. Boyd Holbrook holds that distinction. Just sayin’.

I’ve got a feeling that similar boasts from 50 Cent may also be taking liberty with the truth. Elsewhere, concerning MMA stars in the movie, it appears that Roy Nelson might get lucky;
The top @ufc greats like myself R having the chance 2 work with the great @BonafideBlack of @LethalWeaponFOX on the new @Predator #awesome pic.twitter.com/A2re4ytmxu

Speaking of Twitter, Shane Black Tweeted the following (then deleted it);
I think that the reason he deleted this is because he probably doesn’t realise that it’s copyright material. It’s from the video game Battlefield 3 (2013) and if you look closer, The Predator is holding a gun, which doesn’t jive. He probably just missed these things.
Finally, this is an alleged pre-production prop shot from the movie.
