There were rumors in recent weeks that director Mel Gibson was being sought to direct a sequel to Suicide Squad. While a lot of us deemed this unlikely due to Gibson’s recent unfavourable comments towards comic book movies, apparently it’s still possible.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly at the Oscars, here is what Gibson had to say;
“I don’t know. I just met some guys about story points. It’s not a done deal or anything, but it’s just fun to shoot the pool, you know, when it comes to stories. I love doing it. And if we can elevate any type of concept, it’s good. We’ll see”
Well if Gibson decided to take on such a project, it would obviously not be just another leotard movie. This is the director of Braveheart, Apocalypto and Hacksaw Ridge, for Christ’s sake!
