Arnold Won’t Do The Expendables 4 Without Stallone

Arnold Schwarzenegger may not be back for The Expendables 4.

The actor told EW that he will not star in the actioner without Sylvester Stallone, who is reportedly leaving the franchise.

“There is no ‘Expendables’ without Sly,” the former governor said. “I would never do the movie without him, no.”

This follows news that Sylvester Stallone has dropped out of the movie over a dispute with producer Avi Lerner on various issues, including shooting the film in Bulgaria again.  Stallone also sought a $20 million pay day.

And with that, I think Jason Statham would also follow.  We could probably write off those hopes of Jackie Chan too, since he’s a personal friend of Stallone and previously had a stipulation of having more screen time with him in the movies, if he were to join.

So it looks like The Expendables may be heading to VOD sooner than we thought?  By the way, and I’m serious about this; what could happen next is that a VOD Expendables movie will recruit Bruce Willis for the cover and advertising, then fill the movie out with Terry Crews, Lundgren and Randy Couture.

Willis will probably show up, shoot five scenes then leave.
