After a radio show host recently challenged Alec Baldwin to a fist fight, something that he has apparently turned down, now there’s talk of another celebrity fight. In jest, maybe? Girlie men Matthew Perry and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have business to handle.
Trudeau challenged his former elementary school bully Matthew Perry to a “rematch” on Saturday.
“I’ve been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn’t wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch @MatthewPerry?” Trudeau wrote on Twitter. Perry has not yet responded to the challenge.
“I have a story about him that I’m not proud of,” Perry said. “My friend Chris Murray, who was also in the fifth grade in Canada, reminded me that we actually beat up Justin Trudeau … We both beat him up. I think he was excelling in a sport that we weren’t, so it was pure jealousy.”
I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that Trudeau got beat up by this girlie man, or the fact that Perry had to recruit the assistance of some other person to get the job done. But I’m all for a rematch and dare I say it, I’d probably root for Trudeau.
Now is a good time for me to remind myself that I’ve never watched a single episode of Friends – I’ve only ever caught a minute or two here or there. I hate it passionately; the cast, the theme, everything.
