The summer is more or less behind us now and if you found that there weren’t enough manly movies released, the fall might present better options. There are actually quite a few interesting movies headed our way so let’s take a look at them below.
IT – SEPTEMBER 8TH
It is a horror movie that is right around the corner. It might give you some nostalgia if you remember how it went back in the day. This movie is already getting rave previews and actually looks quite good.
Synopsis: When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, neighborhood kids band together to square off against Pennywise, an evil clown whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
AMERICAN ASSASSIN – SEPTEMBER 15TH
This movie is going to feature Scott Adkins and Micheal Keaton at the same time, which alone might just make it the best movie of September. Or even for the rest of the year. And if you’re in Norway you can actually check it out ahead of time, well, tomorrow!
Synopsis: When Cold War veteran Stan Hurley takes CIA black ops recruit Mitch Rapp under his wing, they receive an assignment to investigate a wave of random attacks on both military and civilian targets. After discovering a pattern of violence, Hurley and Rapp join forces with a lethal Turkish agent to stop a mysterious operative who wants to start a global war.
KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE – SEPTEMBER 22ND
Later this month it’s going to be time for some more 21st century action. Or to be more precise, entertaining R-Rated 21st century action. The first movie was a surprise hit, so here’s hoping this movie comes out swinging for the more ‘adult’ direction of new action movies.
Synopsis: With their headquarters destroyed and the world held hostage, members of Kingsman find new allies when they discover a spy organization in the United States known as Statesman. In an adventure that tests their strength and wits, the elite secret agents from both sides of the pond band together to battle a ruthless enemy and save the day, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy.
AMERICAN MADE – SEPTEMBER 29TH
I’m sure Tom Cruise is going to be looking for something to bounce back on for 2017 after The Mummy turned out to be a solid disaster. American Made/Mena might do the trick. This just reminds me on Narcos for some reason, which is an amazing show.
Synopsis: Barry Seal, a TWA pilot, is recruited by the CIA to provide reconnaissance on the burgeoning communist threat in Central America and soon finds himself in charge of one of the biggest covert CIA operations in the history of the United States. The operation spawns the birth of the Medellin cartel and almost brings down the Reagan White House.
