New Top Gun: Maverick Details

That Hashtag Show has posted an apparent casting breakdown for the upcoming Top Gun sequel (Top Gun: Maverick).

Wrigley Goose, son of Anthony Edwards’ character Nick ‘Goose’ Bradshaw will play a part in the follow-up.  And he will be pissed with Tom Cruise’s character, holding him responsible for the death of his father.

Goose Jr. will show signs of a young Maverick, cocky, arrogant etc.

There will also be a love interest for Maverick, in her late 40’s or early 50’s.

Cruise’s character will be an instructor for an upcoming generation of hot shot pilots, including a bunch of female fighter pilots (I’m sure the ‘quota’ in this movie will be well beyond the real life percentage).

Joseph Kosinski is slated to direct.
