Lethal Weapon 5 is back on the radar.  With Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and even Richard Donner all said to be interested in returning.  Here is what MovieWeb says;

A new report claims that Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are both in discussions with Warner Bros. about it. What’s more is that Richard Donner, who directed the original Lethal Weapon, is set to direct as well.

Let’s get what everyone is thinking about out of the way, the ages.  Gibson: 61.  Glover: 71.  Donner: 87.  But is this really a problem?  61 is nothing.  Harrison Ford is 4 years older than Glover and he’s up there doing sequels for movies that are older than Lethal Weapon.  And Clint Eastwood is the same age as Donner, he’s also directing.

For those wondering what it might be about, the last time Donner spoke about this movie, he said that Riggs and Murtaugh were literally “too old for this shit” and had gone for the quiet life in a fancy RV they bought.  Until Riggs crashes it into something in a small town, which leads to chaos, action and violence.

Some suggestions; make it a Christmas movie and get Shane Black on the line.
