Hollywood has moved fewer tickets in 2017 than it has in 22 years.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the number of movie tickets sold in the US and Canada is expected to hit 1.26 billion in 2017, which is well below 2016’s 1.31 billion.
It’s the fewest amount of tickets sold in a year since 1995 and now Bloomberg is asking what it will take to get people back into cinemas.

Of course this comes before the proposed idea to allow people to view big movies at home, closer to release for a higher price. Big studios are toying with the idea of letting you stream blockbuster movies at home, two weeks after their cinematic release for $30.
