Doom Movie Reboot Gets Female Lead

Universal is rebooting the Doom movie franchise.

And now Dread Central has an alleged scoop from some unnamed sources. The film will be directed by Tony Giglio (Timber Falls, S.W.A.T. Under Siege) and that Once Upon A Time actress Amy Manson is set to play the film’s lead.

Needless to say, the character should be a male. The character is actually called ‘DoomGuy’.

This will come from Universal’s 1440 Entertainment, which means it’s probably going VOD, although it could have a limited run in theaters.  The main game franchise was successfully updated a while back, with the new game receiving critical acclaim.

It has been 13 years since the original film released, starring The Rock and Karl Urban.

This is easily the best scene in the movie.
