The Rock & Diesel Are Not Pals

It was said at one point that The Rock and Vin Diesel did not get along when making their action movies together.  Rock called out men on the set for not standing up to a prima donna.  Gonna take a wild guess, but the ones not standing up were probably Tyrese Gibson and the prima donna would be Vin Diesel.

Speaking with Rolling Stone magazine now, The Rock says;

We were not in any scenes together. Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer. And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie-making and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”

He also tells magazine that he may not appear in the upcoming ninth installment of the franchise, though remains excited about the upcoming spin-off with Jason Statham due out next year:

“Right now I’m concentrating on making the [Fast and Furious Hobbs and Shaw] spinoff as good as it can be. I wish [Diesel] all the best and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have. Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”

Diesel confronting The Rock in his trailer?  Hilarious, I wonder if Toretto got out without incurring the People’s Elbow.  You’d have to wonder though what’ll happen to that ‘Furious’ franchise when the golden goose (Rock) is removed.

Probably the same as WWE, it’ll go down the toilet.
