Marty Kove Drops Season 2 Cobra Kai Hints?
By now the spoilers are probably known by everyone — Sensei Kreese returned at the end of Cobra Kai. And we’ll be seeing him in season 2, which was ordered very quickly. But in what capacity?
Marktin Kove has spoken of what he hopes the second season of Cobra Kai explores in his long-dormant character of Kreese. He told CinemaBlend:
His double-sided vulnerability. What I mean by that is, I would love to see this character evolve with a woman. I have no idea what kind of woman. But at the same time, be vulnerable to her, and she brings out the better part of him. But at the same time, he retains this darkness with regard to competition, and how he feels about losers and winners. … It would be very interesting for me to play that as an actor.
Kove is still not clear himself on what they’re precisely going to do with the character though. On if the producers have revealed anything big so far, he says;
No, they really didn’t. I said, very clearly to them, is this character going to be a villain. And they said, very, very clearly, that he’s going to be a little bit good and a little bit bad. [laughs] That’s all I got.
I do hope Johnny and John team up. Like the old days…
