Got a spare $3,000? This is how much Rambo’s machete from the 2008 movie costs. It is at PropStore for $2,995. The description is as follows.
An aluminum machete with partial blade from the production of Sylvester Stallone’s 2008 action / adventure film, Rambo. Living a solitary life in Thailand, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is hired by a group of missionaries to ferry them into Burma. After they are captured by a warlord, Rambo forges himself a machete and joins a group of mercenaries to bring them back to safety. Rambo is seen wielding his self-forged machete throughout the film as he filets Burmese Nationalist soldiers.
Likely made for sequences when Rambo is dismembering his foes, this piece is made of aluminum and has been crafted with quality and detail to resemble Rambo’s weapon of choice. The blade is dull and has been cut ¾ from the tip. The handle is wrapped with black grip-tape and features a small black strap for carrying. The blade has also been marked with several strips of tape, possibly for tracking purposes.
This item shows some wear due to production but is in good overall condition.
Item size – 15″ x 2.5″ x 0.75″ (38.1cm x 6.35cm x 1.91cm)
You could spend a good half hour getting lost on that site looking at props for other movies, if you’re a billionaire maybe. Then again, if you don’t want to buy the machete, you could just follow the John J. YouTube guide to making your own…
