AMC has announced that it has renewed its popular series The Terror for a second season. The series was the number two new drama on cable for the current television season.
The first season was adapted from the novel of the same name, but the second series will be an original entry, set in California during WW2.
Ridley Scott, Alexander Woo (True Blood) and Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island) will executive produce with Woo to serve as showrunner on the new season which centers on an uncanny specter menacing a Japanese-American community starting in California and spreading across the Pacific theatre of war — this is where it might get interesting.
Hopefully it might resemble something like Michael Mann’s The Keep.
The next season will consist of ten episodes and is expected to air on AMC and certain Amazon Prime Video territories in 2019.
