Like professional wrestler Paul Orndorff was lined up for a potential role in Rambo: First Blood Part II, professional wrestler Nikita Koloff was lined up for a role in Rocky IV.
Koloff talks about it in the video above.
Koloff says he didn’t get the role because he was too big next to Sylvester Stallone. However, I’m thinking otherwise. Our man Dolph Lundgren is an even bigger man than Koloff, Koloff being (billed at) 6’3, which means he’s probably not more than 6’1. Lundgren on the other hand was 6’5 all day in the mid 1980’s.
So, it’s probably just more wrestler talk (i.e. severe embellishment). Lundgren, perhaps, just looks more like a movie star.
