The Fugitive is 25 years old, it was released on August 6th, 1993.
The film was from prolific manly movie director Andrew Davis. He also brought us Code of Silence, Above the Law, The Package, Under Siege and The Guardian among others.
From a $44 million budget, The Fugitive went on to take in almost $400 million. Deservedly so. And while it did get positive reviews too, its sequel, US Marshals, is sort of underrated if you ask me. That’s another good film.
Both films of course starred Tommy Lee Jones. The film is a definite career highlight for both Jones and Harrison Ford.
I’m surprised they haven’t tried to remake this yet. Let’s hope it’s a real movie, sans CGI skies, car rides and public spaces.
