News: Marine 6, Top Gun 2, Living Dead

THE MARINE 6: CLOSE QUARTERS

If you can believe it, they’ve made another one of those Marine movies. With a bunch of WWE jobbers (sorry, any post-Attitude wrestlers are just vanilla jobbers), minus an aged Shawn Michaels.  Directed by James Nunn, it sees Jake Carter and another former Marine, Luke Trapper, join forces to rescue a kidnapped girl from a gang of international criminals.

The film comes to VOD on November 13th.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK

This little piece is doing the rounds.  Supposedly Tom Cruise’s F/A-18F Super Hornet.  This film could be outstanding and a real doozy, if Mr. Practical Tom Cruise has his way.  I mean just today, they had to temporarily shut down filming again because of an air accident in one of the planes.

So, no green screen bullshit!

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD

Night of the Living Dead is returning to cinemas.

It is of course to celebrate the 50th anniversary.  On Wednesday, October 24, and Thursday, October 25, only, the film returns to nearly 600 movie theatres nationwide in a newly restored and remastered version presented by Fathom Events, Image Ten Inc. and Living Dead Media, in association with Janus Films and the Criterion Collection.
