‘Outrage’ Over Rock Earning 2X Emily Blunt’s Salary

The website WrestlingInc has an article up about a new movie starring The Rock titled ‘Outrage Over His Pay Vs. Emily Blunt’s Pay’.  The movie is a girlie-man Disney movie called Jungle Cruise.

Set in the 1930s during the Great Depression, a riverboat captain named Frank takes a scientist and her brother on a mission into a jungle to find a tree believed to possess healing powers. All the while, the trio must fight against dangerous wild animals, and a competing German expedition.

The Rock plays the captain, Blunt plays the scientist (but of course, yet another Hollywood feminist trope).  However The Rock is being paid $22 million, whereas Blunt is being paid $9 million.  Gee, I wonder why The Rock is getting paid more than Emily Blunt?
