True Lies Shows Miniatures> CGI

The video above is from PierceFilm and details the use of miniatures in True Lies.  Patrick Mcclung and Leslie Ekker talk about the miniature effects for the film.

Of course using miniatures means that a budget of time and resources is still going to be placed on the scene, which means more realism insofar as there is less of a temptation to jump the shark.  It’s also tangible — real parts are blown to and fro etc.

This video also shows the near obsessive eye for detail put into the bridge sequence in the film.
