Here’s the teaser trailer for Ip Man 4.  The upcoming Hong Kong biographical martial arts film directed by Wilson Yip and produced by Raymond Wong. It is the fourth in the Ip Man film series based on the life of the Wing Chun grandmaster of the same name and features Donnie Yen reprising the role

It’ll also star Scott Adkins.

COMING TO AMERICA 2

That rumor of a sequel to 1980’s comedy Coming to America is now fact.  Filming begins in August and ends in October.

Craig Brewer, director of Hustle and Flow, is currently planning to create the long-awaited Coming to America sequel, along with Eddie Murphy.

Murphy will return as Prince Akeem, who travelled from his wealthy African country to Queens in order to escape an arranged marriage and find a wife who will love him in spite of his title.

Kenya Barris penned the most recent draft of the sequel, which would see Murphy’s character learning about a long-lost son and returning to America to meet the unlikely heir to the throne of Zamunda.

THE BRIGANDS OF RATTLECREEK

S. Craig Zahler is the man of the hour, as far as director’s go.  But even a prodigy like Zahler can only direct so many movies at a time.  So one of his next projects will be his script for The Brigands of Rattlecreek, a movie which will star Matthew McCounaghey.

The Amazon production will a sheriff and a doctor that seek revenge on a group of outlaws that terrorize a small Old West town during a terrible storm. According to the report, McConaughey is sought for the role of the doctor, while another A-lister will occupy the sheriff role.

THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT 2

Director Renny Harlin says he’s got a sequel to The Long Kiss Goodnight in mind.  Here is what he tells THR…

I’ve created a treatment for [a sequel] where basically in a nutshell the story is that in the opening sequence Geena’s character is murdered. And her daughter, who now would be in her early 20s, who was five or six years old in the original, she would be now in her 20s. And she’s in university. After her mother dies, she receives this mysterious package. And there’s something in it that she doesn’t really understand  And now all the government and a couple of bad guys are after her because they have a hunch that the mother sent the item to her. So now she’s on the run. She has no-one to turn to, she’s so over her head. The only person that she knows that could maybe help is Sam Jackson’s character. And then it becomes basically a road movie. But now it’s Sam and Geena’s daughter on the road. That’s my treatment.
