ALIEN
It looks like Ridley Scott destroyed Alien, ironically. But two blips are back on the radar this week. First was a major Fox executive revealing earlier this week that there is more to come (which shouldn’t be a surprise anyway) and now Sigourney Weaver is hinting the same at the end of the video above. The executive from Fox also claimed that more is on the way for Predator.
Weaver is 70. And looks 50.
DEADWOOD
Ian McShane is now promoting the new Hellboy movie. And he was asked about Deadwood by Collider and said the following:
“Deadwood we just finished. I saw it the other day. Tim and I had a few comments. I think it’s – yeah, it’s OK. Yeah, it’s good. Again it’s, you know, don’t expect an episodic piece. It’s difficult when you’ve gotta make a two hour movie of an episodic TV.
But I think they got the setting right, they got the links right, and they got everybody back which is really great, ’cause they could have made you know, ‘Seth and Al ride the high country together!’ That wouldn’t have been Deadwood. That would just be me and Tim sort of catching it… this is (David) Milch Deadwood circa 10 years later. Statehood difficulty, characters have moved on; they’re a little changed which is great.”
This movie should be good…
THE HELICOPTER HEIST
Free Solo directors Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin are in early talks to take on an untitled movie based on Jonas Bonnier’s novel The Helicopter Heist.
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, the film covers a real helicopter robbery which occurred on 23 September 2009 at 05:15 CET when a G4S cash service depot was robbed in Västberga in southern Stockholm, Sweden. The robbers used a stolen Bell 206 Jet Ranger as transport and landed on the rooftop of the G4S building.
