Joe Taslim Playing Sub Zero

They’re making a new Mortal Kombat movie and the iconic role of Sub Zero is now being taken over by none other than Joe Taslim.  Can that piece of casting get any better?

Greg Russo penned the current version of the screenplay while commercial director Simon McQuoid makes his debut here. James Wan and Todd Garner will produce the project which will shoot in southern Australia later this year.

The series was rebooted briefly 10 years ago with Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, a detailed short film directed by Kevin Tancharoen, with fight choreography by Larnell Stovall, who also choreographed Undisputed III: Redemption.  For those who remember, Michael Jai White appeared in that version.
