There’s Trouble In The (RoboCop Returns) Tower!

Things aren’t looking great for RoboCop Returns at the minute, the proposed ‘second sequel’ (or third, if you count the TV series pilot) to the original film.  Director Neill Blomkamp has walked away from the project.  See his post on social media below.

Off Robocop. I am shooting new horror/thriller and MGM can’t wait/ need to shoot Robocop now. Excited to watch it in theaters with other fans. N

It looks like MGM wants to fast track the project, and Blomkamp isn’t down with that.  Could this mean that Peter Weller might walk too with a change of director?

Anyway, Paul Verhoeven is still making movies.  Just sayin’…
