Butler Owns The Box Office

There is good news here as Angel Has Fallen (reviewed here) is still owning the box office.  It topped the Labor Day holiday weekend as Lionsgate and Millennium’s film held the spot with a further $11.5 million for the three day and is expected to close out with $14.4 million for the four-day holiday.

R-Rated actioner ‘Angel’ has accumulated $43.6 million so far.

The overall box office for Hollywood is down though, suffering a 2% decline from last year and 6.3% decline for the year to date, among growing concern that it is backing itself into a corner with larger, singular themed kitsch.
