A bunch of new trailers have been released. Let’s line ’em up, starting with F9, the latest in the Fast & Furious series. At 140K views, I would be moderately worried if I were the studio.

Synopsis: After the events of The Fate of the Furious (2017), Dominic Toretto and his family must face Dominic’s younger brother Jakob, a deadly assassin, who is working with their old enemy Cipher.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK

The Super Bowl spot for Maverick impresses again. Great flight footage in there that is totally non-CGI. How can you ask for more?

Synopsis: After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.

THE INVISIBLE MAN

They’re dusting off The Invisible Man again as Universal puts up a new spot. The new film is for Blumhouse Productions. It opens February 28th.

Synopsis: When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

THE JESUS ROLLS

The Big Lebowski gets its long awaited spin off with The Jesus Rolls. Seems that a few people have already seen this, if the IMDb is to be believed, and do not like it…

Synopsis: Like the original Going Places, it follows a trio of sexually depraved misfits, played by John Turturro, Bobby Cannavale and Audrey Tautou.

THE FUGITIVE

Well it looks like every one of these is a spin off, sequel or remake. The latest is the new take on The Fugitive, starring Keifer Sutherland and Boyd Holbrook.

Synopsis: With the city in a state of panic and misinformation traveling at the speed of social media, Mike’s life and family hang in the balance as he becomes – The Fugitive.
