News: Last Of US TV Series, New Hanks WW2 Movie

Looks like Tom Hanks is returning to WW2 with upcoming naval thriller Greyhound. The trailer can be viewed above.

In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

Stephen Graham, Elisabeth Shue and Karl Glusman co-star in the film which Hanks himself adapted the script for.

THE LAST OF US

Sony PlayStation and Naughty Dog’s highly acclaimed video game The Last of Us is set to become an HBO TV series which will see Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin serving as showrunner and executive producer.

It’ll apparently be a direct adaptation of the video game.

It’ll be interesting to see how it’ll be brought to life, it looks like it would require a huge budget.  Maybe that’s exactly what it’ll get.
