Rumor: Snipes Returning In Demolition Man 2

Recent news of a Demolition Man sequel has brought another rumor out of the woodwork.  Apparently Wesley Snipes will return to play foul-mouthed verbal morality statute-offender Simon Phoenix.  According to Wegotthiscovered:

While there’s no plot details available as of yet, we’ve now heard from our sources – the same ones who told us an Extraction sequel is in the works and Now You See Me 3 is in development, both of which were correct – that the current plan is to have Wesley Snipes return to play bleach-blond villain Simon Phoenix.

Phoenix, they say, will get cloned by another villain.  It’ll be interesting to see where this goes, Snipes is a lot older now obviously.  But again, apparently Hollywood is slowly learning we don’t want remakes, but cautiously are willing to listen about belated sequels.

Pissed off core fanbases can ruin a PR campaign.
