CANCELLED TERMINATOR
Screen writer Patrick Lussier has offered an interview to The Production Meeting Podcast and revealed where he was planning to make sequels to Terminator: Genisys:
“We wrote like two drafts of the next one, the direct sequel, and had an outline for the third one, what that would be, that answered all the questions that were presented in ‘Genisys’ and brought it back around and closed it all off.
They dealt more with how the future and where Skynet comes from and what that sort of time loop is. You know, the Matt Smith character. It became much more of a focus, so they were probably a little trippier and stood away from ‘T2’ a little more. Started having their own identity.
There’s sort of an interesting escaping the fatalistic part of it, how it opened was very cool… who knows? Maybe one day they’ll release it as a comic or something.”
Taking it further away from the old movies? Where do they get these people who simply can’t even begin to ‘get’ it?
MORTAL KOMBAT
That new Mortal Kombat movie? Still happening. In fact, it was completed pre-Covid.
Lewis Tan will appear in the new film which was shot last year in South Australia and he promises not only does the new film have fatalities, but those involved aren’t going shy on the gore. He tells ComicBook.com:
“Let me just say this, there were some days on set that I felt sick. I’m not kidding. They did not… They did not hold back.”
Good, we like to hear that.
BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC
This film is going to blow up the fucking internet. Look how good it looks. Above is the second trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music. Like Greyhound, the film is also going to be released on demand due to the Covid problem.
Synopsis: A visitor from the future tells best friends Bill and Ted that one of their songs can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe.
