ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER

Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed appear in an hour-long spy series for Skydance Television.  His TV debut is a show described as a global spy adventure with a father and daughter at the center of the story.

No further information in other casting has surfaced.

However the show has now found a home with Netflix.  The show is described as a ‘thriller’, so those fearing cornball comedy should breathe a sigh of relief.

MICHAEL BAY

Jake Gyllenhaal is set to star in Michael Bay’s upcoming action/thriller Ambulance.

The film centers on a pair of combat veterans who return from Afghanistan.  Being dissatisfied with the way things have gone for them in life, they decide to rob a bank, but things go wrong and they are forced to take a female hostage in an ambulance.

This film is a remake of Laurits Munch-Petersen’s 2005 Danish psychological thriller.

THE PLANE

Gerard Butler’s new movie The Plane has hit a snag on its way to take-off, with studio Lionsgate parting ways with the project.

The studio has backed out of the project because the producers have failed to secure insurance that would cover a potential COVID-19 outbreak, per Deadline.

Still, the project, which was one of the hot properties at last year’s American Film Market, will still likely find a new home soon, under a much different deal.

HEROES RETURN

Here is a poster for Hu Guo’s action film Heroes Return, starring Yuen Biao, Ray Lui, Ken Tong, Ng Man Tat, Kathy Chow.  Details are scarce but this will be a welcome addition Yuen Biao’s filmography.
